A new look for La Poste in Montpellier

La Poste employees at Montpellier Rondelet enjoyed a “red letter” day on 9 July 2018, as they opened its new customer services space.

At La Poste Montpellier Rondelet, 9 July was the date of both the opening of the site's new customer services space and the unveiling of the “Exceptional Regions” collector's book, produced in partnership with Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.

To mark the occasion, in addition to his 80 guests, Area Director Olivier Clergue welcomed Philippe Saurel, mayor of Montpellier and president of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, and Pierre Pouëssel, prefect of the Hérault. He presented his post office’s new features and the personalised reception which is now standard at La Poste.

The ribbon was then cut jointly by Michel Gardy, regional director of the La Poste Network in Languedoc-Roussillon, Pierre Pouëssel, prefect of the Hérault, and Philippe Saurel, mayor of Montpellier.

The mayor then unveiled the collector's book which, he said, represents Montpellier's full diversity.

He then concluded the ceremony by confirming his desire to maintain a special link with La Poste, which he sees as an important partner making an ongoing contribution to the economic and social development of his municipality and agglomeration.

The day after the opening, no fewer than 2,000 collector’s books went on sale.
